REGIONAL JUNIOR OLYMPICS

These are the zonal qualification events from the Southern Pacific Zone to the National Junior Olympics to be held @ Stanford from July 25, 26, 27, 28 for the boy's and 10's and July 30, 31, Aug. 1, & 2 for the girls.

There will be three regional events for 2009.

NOTE! YOU MUST ENTER THE NATIONAL EVENT, THE NATIONAL JUNIOR OLYMPICS, ONLINE AT WWW.USAWATERPOLO.ORG IN ORDER TO BE ELIGIBLE TO PLAY IN THE REGIONALS TO QUALIFY FOR THE NATIONAL EVENT.

THESE EVENTS ARE NOT JUST TYPICAL EVENTS TO ENTER FOR EXPERIENCE BUT ARE QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE NATIONALS.

TEAMS MAY NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE REGIONALS WITHOUT FIRST ENTERING THE NATIONAL EVENT.

FAILURE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE NATIONAL EVENT AFTER PARTICIPATING IN THE REGIONAL EVENT AND QUALIFYING WILL RESULT IN THE SANCTION OF THE FULL NJO ENTRY FEE PLUS A FEE TO THE ZONE EQUAL TO ONE HALF OF THAT. For example, failure to attend the 10U COED or 12U in the national event after participating in the regional event will result in the sanction of $750 + $375, or a total of $1125. Failure to send a team in the 14U/16U/18U will result in a sanction of $900 + $450, or a total of $1350.

1) the Regionals for the 10's, 12's & 14's hosted by SET WPC will be held May 15, 16, 17 at El Toro HS, Santa Margarita HS, Tesoro HS, & Laguna Hills HS. FIRST ENTER THE NATIONAL EVENT ONLINE THEN FILL OUT THIS FORM AND MAIL IT IN BY MAY 8th. ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED FOR THE 10's, 12's, 14's BY MAY 8th.

2) the next one will be the regionals for the 16U &18U GIRLS to be held May 29, 30, 31 at Woollett Aquatics Center. Entry Deadline is Thursday, 05/21/09 with seeding meeting phone conference late Friday evening, 05/23/09. Online entry available soon - able to pay by credit card.

3) The last regional event will be for the 16 & 18 U Boys to be held June 5, 6, 7 @ Inland Empire. 16U Boys will be held @ Los Osos HS & Chaffey College. 18U boys will be held at Roosevelt HS and Santiago HS. Note that due to SAT testing the 18U Boys games on Saturday, June 6th will not begin until around 1 or 1:30PM.
